LONDON BASED SINGER SONGWRITER TONY ANDREWS FEATURES PAINTING BY CHICAGO AREA POP ARTIST RANDAL HUISKENS ON COVER OF DEBUT ALBUM
Tony Andrews, a London-based singer songwriter, has chosen a painting by Randal Huiskens, a Chicago area Pop Artist, for the cover of his debut album. The album is titled "Year Of The Tiger," and the cover features Huiskens' 2017 painting "Tiger (Panthera Tigris)."
When asked about his selection of the painting for the cover of his album, Andrews stated "I chose Randal’s tiger painting because it has an attractive aura about it. I think it’s a striking painting!" Andrews, who plays and gigs regularly around the UK, was recently selected by California record label Big Fuss Records as "Artist To Watch" for his song "Beautiful Day" in 2018.
Huiskens, a Chicago area Pop Artist, is a three time first place winner in the Pop Art category of the American Art Awards. He is most well known for his Pop Art portraits, which have been described as "Andy Warhol meets Chuck Close." In addition, he paints various other types of Pop art, which he describes as his “Brands." Thom Bierdz, President of the American Art Awards, stated "Huiskens is a stunning success story and a very collectible contemporary artist."
